INTERVIEW WITH FACE OF TONI&GUY 2017/18 WINNER CANDICE RULE

How did you learn about Face of TONI&GUY competition?
I went in to get my hair cut at my usual TONI&GUY salon over a year ago, and my stylist suggested I apply for the Face of TONI&GUY, so I did – and it was the best decision I made.

What was Culture Shock 2.0 like as a Face of TONI&GUY finalist?
It was a surreal experience, far from my regular day-to-day! I was styled by the talented GlamCorner team, and I was sitting in the front row next to Guy Sebastian and Lianna Perdis! I was proud to be there on behalf of TONI&GUY.

How did you feel when you won?
It definitely didn’t sink in until later in the night for me, but winning was a very humbling experience. I had just been given some of the craziest opportunities on a silver platter, and I was so excited to be welcomed into the talented global TONI&GUY team.

What’s your experience been like so far?
Being the Face of TONI&GUY has made me more passionate than ever about fashion, self-expression and my career as an artist. This opportunity has already given me some of my favourite hairstyles, which I’ve been privileged enough to be able to showcase in some stunning photo shoots, I also have to give a shout out to Hamish (Face of TONI&GUY winner in male category), who is a wonderful person to share this process with.

What is TONI&GUY to you?
TONI&GUY has a talented team which makes high fashion trends accessible to a broader public, even students like myself. TONI&GUY has opened many doors for me, and I couldn’t be more excited to be a part of the family. I feel very grateful for my achievements thus far and am looking forward to more projects in the year.
