On the 28th March BT Financial Group and the Australian Fashion Council came together for the Editor In Chief of Harper’s BAZAAR, Kellie Hush, to announce and celebrate the winner of the ‘BT EMERGING FASHION DESIGNER AWARD 2018’, Sydney based designer Marina Afonina and to showcase her winning collection ‘Albus Lumen’ in the form of BT Runway 2018 now in its sixth successful year. The winning collection was full of ‘timeless pieces that every woman wants to wear season after season’ Hush stated.

The evening was a testament to the innovative design talent that continues to grow within the Australian Fashion Industry and the #TGTRIBE were on hand backstage to ensure there wasn’t a hair out of place coupled perfectly with the aesthetic of collection.

Katy Reeve, National Creative Director of TONI&GUY Australia was at the forefront, leading an incredible team compiled of talent from all the metro TONI&GUY salons who were tasked with creating three distinct looks for BT Runway.

The first look was a ‘youthful, clean and fresh, natural waved’ look, the second was a homage to grunge 90’s with a ‘slick, gelled back, punk look’ and the final being a timeless ‘classic and clean ponytail’ all of which were created using label.m styling products to create and finish.

Albus Lumen also received a prize package as a result of being awarded the ‘BT EMERGING FASHION DESIGNER AWARD 2018’ worth over $70,000 which included TONI&GUY Australia sponsoring the winner’s hairdressing needs including: access to their National Artistic Team for two major fashion events, two look book or editorial shoots and three months’ worth of hairdressing at TONI&GUY Head Office.
